“Und der König gebot dem Hohenpriester Hilkia und den nächsten Priestern nach ihm und den Hütern an der Schwelle, daß sie sollten aus dem Tempel des HERRN tun alle Geräte, die dem Baal und der Aschera und allem Heer des Himmels gemacht waren. Und sie verbrannten sie außen vor Jerusalem im Tal Kidron, und ihr Staub ward getragen gen Beth-El.”

“The king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring forth out of Yahweh's temple all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the army of the sky, and he burned them outside of Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.”
